Design Process
1 – SCHEMATIC DESIGN
Qualifying potential projects will receive a complimentary onsite consultation with a lead designer.
- Meeting with the Client to review project requirements and develop design program
- Site visit and documentation of existing drawings, site measurements and conditions
- Review Building Code requirements, if required
- Prepare potential space planning options and concept design layouts
- Establish project budget
2 – DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
- Develop concept design based on Client-approved concepts
- Prepare design development drawings as required
- Coordinate engineering consultants for structures, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical, as required
- Select finishes, fixtures, furniture and art work as required
3 – CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
- Prepare Working Drawings, as required
- Prepare specifications
- Purchase fixtures, finishes, materials, furniture, lighting, accessories, art, window coverings, on Client's behalf, as per specifications and coordinate delivery on site as per construction schedule
- Design custom furnishings, as required
4 – CONTRACTOR SELECTION
- Review contractor quotes, negotiations and selection of suitable contractor for the project as required
5 – CONSTRUCTION PHASE
- Inventory items that the Client is keeping
- Proposal and purchase of new pieces to match Client's existing items and newly renovated space
- Organize delivery of new pieces to Client's site
6 – FURNITURE, LIGHTING, ACCESSORIES, ART
- Site reviews as required, to ensure the work is in accordance with the Client approved Design
- Answer contractor questions and help resolve any issues that might arise due to site conditions and unforeseen conditions
5 – FINAL STYLING + DECORATING
- Assist in on site set up of furniture, lighting, accessories, and art as per furniture layout
- Final photography
